Inline skaters use roads, pavements and features like fences and steps to get around and perform tricks. Other skaters go from A to B by the fastest possible route, weaving quickly and skillfully through city streets. Large numbers congregate for evening group skates, with the Paris Friday night event attracting up to 35,000 people.
